What are Beta Testers?
Beta testers are trusted friends of MadSquid who get pre-release copies of our applications. Beta testers use these pre-release versions of apps to find bugs, uncover game play or usability issues and generally help shape the future of the application. They are also Mad Cool people who get exclusive content to show off to their friends!
What do I have to do as a Beta Tester?
We will send you a pre-release version of our latest application, you then play the game or use the application and send us your feedback. We are particularly interested in any problems you encounter. either bugs in the program (where it stops working or does something weird), usability issues (like – what do I do now? I don’t understand) or presentation issues (like – wow, that screen just sucks)
How can I become a Beta Tester?
Use the Contact page to send us a message. Remember to include your type of device and the UDID of your device.
Why do you need my UDID?
Apps for iPhone are secured digitally (that means they only run on devices Apple approves). Once an application is published on the App Store it is digitally signed to run on all devices. Before publication (such as pre-release version for beta testers) we need to tell Apple which devices the application can run on. This is where your UDID comes in – it is a number that uniquely identifies your device. Apple will then approve our pre-release app to work on your device.
